A global investment bank based in the City of London is looking to hire an HR & Recruitment Assistant to join their HR department

Client Details

Global Investment Bank and as of 31 December 2009, it was the 5th largest bank in the world by market capitalization value.


The successful candidate for the HR & Recruitment Assistant position will be responsible for but not limited to:

Recruitment & Selection

Assisting AVP - Recruitment with the end to end recruitment including

  • Arranging interviews with line Managers/Candidates/Recruitment consultants
  • Sending out internal advert from HO inbox
  • Collecting all employment documentation
  • Managing applications
  • Responding to candidates/recruitment agencies
  • Completion of Head Office Recruitment Approval Forms
  • Keeping HO recruitment info spreadsheet up to date with pending and completed cases
  • Weekly new starter / leaver emails to relevant colleagues / departments (backup to HR Administrator only)
  • Assisting with intern recruitment

Employee Relations

  • Act as a backup for other HR Administrators


The successful candidate for the HR & Recruitment Assistant position should have:

  • Recent and proven experience in a similar HR/Recruitment role within a Financial Services environment
  • A strong academic record including a degree or equivalent
  • Mandarin speaking skills would be an advantage
  • Strong Excel skills
