Ashley Kate HR are delighted to be supporting a leading Manufacturing organisation who are looking for a HR Advisor on a 6 month FTC (possibly longer) based in Burton on Trent.
You will report into the HR Manager and provide proactive HR support and guidance in line with policies and procedures.



Responsibilities:
·HR administration around processes such as starters, leavers, absence, pay reviews, employee relations etc.
·First point of contact for advice on all absence, capability, grievance & disciplinary issues.
·Involvement with disciplinary and grievance cases providing support, guidance and training.
·Work with the HR Manager to ensure that policies and procedures are up to date, ensuring the effective roll out, implementation and training of key stakeholders.
·Involvement with the apprenticeship programme, ensuring that the appropriate training and rotations are taking place and the apprenticeship levy is used to best effect.
·Proactively work with Managers on Recruitment & Selection ensuring the business attracts, recruits and retains talent and has the appropriate resources to deliver on our obligations.
·With the support of the HR Manager develop & introduce HR KPI's and reports, providing key data to help Managers focus on key business decisions and actions.
·Work with line Managers to determine the training needs of each department and work with the HR Manager to create and maintain an effective training plan.
·Become a competent user of Workday, the HRIS system. Provide support & guidance to Employees, Line Managers and Employee Representatives.
·Support & coach Managers in all aspects of HR policies, procedures and employment law.
·Deputise for the HR Manager as and when required.
·Support HR "Change Projects" as required.


Experience:

·Solid operational HR experience within a manufacturing environment.
·A good level of commercial awareness.
·Must have up to date knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
·CIPD qualified or working towards is desirable.
·Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience of working with a HRIS system.
