Part Time HR Manager
A superb well known brand and global organisation are looking for a part time HR Manager to work in a stand alone position at one of their manufacturing sites based in Coventry supporting c600 employees. You will play a key part in the company wide HR agenda. This is a predominantly operational role and is the perfect stepping stone for a HR professional to work with an excellent brand with the opportunity to eventually move to their large corporate Head Office! Not only that, you will 'own' HR for that site, shaping it yourself and driving generalist activities both operationally and strategically. The HR Manager role is part time (3 or 4 days a week) and paying FTE £40,000 - £50,000 (no car) + 6% bonus + benefits.
Reporting into the Divisional HR Manager you will work in the local manufacturing arm of the business in an operational role with some strategic focuss. You will play an integral role within regional teams as part of the HR International function by driving the effectiveness and improving line manager capability.
We are looking for an excellent relationship builder with fantastic communication skills as you will have the responsibility of maintaining a strong partnership with your key stakeholders including site line managers and HR Business Partners nationally. You will have a 'roll your sleeves up' mind-set and be strong operationally in order to act as a champion change manager as well as advising correctly on a range of employee relations issues: disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, performance management as well as recruitment, L&D and Reward and continuously ensure the effective policies and procedures are in place. This site is unionised and therefore you must have trade union experience!
Your role will encompass employee engagement and talent & succession planning and you will be an expert in capturing data and MI to offer changes and solutions to make site improvements. Change projects will consist of re organisation, TUPE and restructures.

- Experience of working with in a generalist HR role
- Experience of dealing with trade unions is a must
- Excellent operational experience coaching line managers
- Proven track record in HR, with strong employment law knowledge
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Confident and energetic
- Ability to think laterally and creatively about the challenges of the role
- Highly organised, eye for detail, and able to prioritise and work closely to agreed deliverables
- Collaborative working style, with strong people skills and a good sense of humour
