A co-educational boarding school in Berkshire are looking to appoint a HR Manager to join their team. It is a permanent position that is 37.5 hours a week; however, flexible working can be considered. The College offer a highly competitive benefits package.
The College prides itself on its progressive approach in everything it does, so the decision has been made to restructure the current department to ensure the best support is delivered to its people. The HR Manager role has been split into two specialisms non-teaching and teaching.
As the HR Manager for teaching staff you will be responsible for 170 teaching staff all of whom are whole-heartedly committed to the education of the boys and girls under their care. Teaching at the College is an all-encompassing role, so it is essential that the HR Manager can understand these pressures and provide the relevant support.
The role offers the opportunities and autonomy that a standalone role would, whist still being part of a wider HR team, where ideas and resources can be shared. Therefore, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate proven experience of managing the HR life cycle within a professional setting. Whilst experience of working in schools is not a requirement, the successful candidate will have a genuine interest in and commitment to a school environment.
Nestled in a stunning 400-acre parkland campus the College offers a unique and beautiful location to work in. It benefits from excellent transport links and can be reached by road from either the M3 or M4. It also benefits from a nearby station with good direct rail links from Reading and Guildford.
