HR Manager will work with line managers to implement and embed HR initiatives that have been cascaded to the Region, leading and enabling line manager ownership of people activities.

Description

As a HR Manager you will:

  • Conduct people management, coaching and mentoring for line managers, helping them understand how best to deliver people services to their employees
  • Utilise knowledge of the local job market to identify skill-gaps, highlighting suggestions to the Resourcing team for how to bridge these gaps
  • Where required, work with the Casework Advisors to provide ER case support and advice to ensure consistency
  • Collate feedback on local reward issues, ensuring local needs are adequately represented to the Reward team
  • Draw on Regional delivery experience to support the implementation of People Strategy which takes into account local requirements
  • Accountable for providing feedback on Region-specific issues into the People Strategy
  • Champion the service delivery model by delegating and/or escalating queries that are outside their remit to avoid becoming viewed by the business as 'Local HR'
  • Provide face-to-face coaching to line managers in various aspects of human resources (e.g. performance management, policy, attendance management, exit management, diversity and inclusion initiatives etc.), to increase line manager confidence, capability and compliance
  • Communicate in Regional business meetings regarding HR policies and processes
  • Create a service culture with Managers and Employees to foster relationships between the HR function and the customer
  • Provide feedback from line managers in their Region regarding the ability of HR systems to support people management requirements
  • Deliver tactical communications regarding MI trends and issues highlighted and implement tactical interventions to resolve local issues

Profile

You will:

  • Be able to deliver HR and ER services as aligned to the business strategy and local and role-specific specific requirements
  • Have sound communication and advisory skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers within the business
  • Have high degree of attention to detail and good problem solving skills

A bachelor's degree, preferably in HR, business administration, or a related field, or commensurate professional experience is essential
