Join West Midlands Police as our Resourcing Manager and be the force behind our people. 

We are seeking a Resourcing Manager to join our People and Organisational Development (POD) function based in central Birmingham. This opportunity is offered on a permanent full time basis; flexible options considered.
Reporting to the Head of Resourcing you’ll join a small team of Resourcing Managers who each lead a specific area of resourcing within West Midlands Police. Your area of expertise will be leadership resourcing; focussing on both internal promotions and external resourcing activity of Police Officers at all ranks.

Here at West Midlands Police, we serve almost 2.8 million people – making us the second largest Police Force in England. We’re in the middle of radically overhauling all aspects of the business with WMP2020 - a modernisation plan that’ll change the way we operate.
As part of this, we have established our People and Organisation Development (POD) function. With expertise, commitment and dedication, we are looking for someone to help deliver our resourcing ambitions. The Resourcing Team within POD is fundamental to our ambition of ensuring that we are diverse with the right number of people who the competencies and values to protect our communities across the West Midlands. 

The Opportunity 
This is your chance to become a specialist in complex large scale leadership resourcing initiatives. Your areas of responsibility will include leading change, compliance, and developing close partnerships with colleagues, agencies and suppliers. Our focus is on the continuous improvement of the creation, design, development and delivery of resourcing models for high level, volume and bespoke selection activities including leadership and promotions.

About you 
We are looking for someone with a background of successfully delivering a resourcing function within a relatively large and dynamic organisation. You’ll be collaborative, influential, imaginative and capable of building positive relationships. You will have a unique understanding of the complexity of assessment centre design, competency and values based leadership assessment coupled with an in-depth knowledge of bespoke resourcing practices. 
You’ll be making the most of metrics and data to evaluate campaigns ensuring the effectiveness of resourcing initiatives and commission improved interventions. Working to deliver the WMP2020 vision, you’ll promote a can-do, world-class provision focussed on the improving experience of our customers.
