Joining our Human Resources team, you will play a crucial role in developing the capabilities of our staff, unlocking their potential and securing the ongoing success of the department. This is something we’re referring to as our ‘People Agenda’, which is central to this highly desirable role. Developing a broad cross section of talent, you will therefore work with a huge variety of staff, from those who are working directly with Ministers to those who are on the frontline. Overseeing performance of individuals and building a skilled and flexible workforce to achieve excellence at all levels, you will support our vision of a consistently high-quality workplace in which resources are used efficiently and staff are encouraged to achieve their full potential. 

From managing employee relations to engaging with staff and advising on talent resourcing, you will have the confidence to implement measures in order to build and develop the team and achieve optimum results. As such, you will have significant HR experience gained in a large or complex unionised multi-site organisation, with experience of guiding your colleagues through organisational change. With outstanding communication and negotiation skills, you will be CIPD qualified and have the ability to analyse and interpret HR metrics and complex data, reporting your findings in an easily understandable format. This is a fast-paced organisation that is constantly evolving, so you will also be able to work at pace.
