The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) distributes public money for higher education to universities and colleges in England, and ensures that this money is used to deliver the greatest benefit to students and the wider public. 

Using powers in the Higher Education and Research Act, it is intended that the Office for Students (OfS) will assume the responsibilities of HEFCE from 1 April 2018 at which point it is currently anticipated that this role will transfer to the OfS.

We are recruiting for an HR Adviser to join our HR team, on a job share basis. Your main focus will be to provide a professional, proactive support in the implementation and administration of the Council’s employee contracts and HR elements of payroll, as well as other transactional HR processes.
You will have knowledge of the relevant aspects of employment law and equality and diversity legislation, as well as hands on experience of implementation and administration of HR processes.  You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and relationship skills, as well as a proactive approach to dealing with detail, problem solving and continuous improvement.

This post is a job share position, working 0.5 - 0.6FTE over Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 14 months fixed term.
