Learning and Development Advisor
A new job for the New Year!
Working in a small but highly regarded team you will assist in leading the Council’s learning and development programme including compliance with the performance appraisal system. You will also assist in the development of learning initiatives such as: talent management, building leadership capability and mentoring.
You will also be responsible for further developing the training that staff can access through initiatives such as “lunch and learn”, the e-learning system (learning pool), and facilitating and presenting the corporate induction as well as ad hoc training for managers and stakeholders. You will also have the opportunity to help develop the Council’s policy in respect of learning and development
You will receive guidance and mentoring from a Senior Learning and Development Advisor and a Human Resources Consultant who manages the team.
You will be:
- A highly motivated human resources professional with demonstrable recent experience of designing and delivering effective human resources and learning and development initiatives
- Able to work independently with senior managers across the council to enable the Council to deliver its priorities and ensure staff work to their highest potential
- A highly organised and confident individual who is CIPD qualified and able to demonstrate evidence of having worked successfully at band 2 of the CIPD Professional Map with evidence of continuous professional development.
