My client is a nationwide construction business who are looking to appoint an ER Specialist to join their North London office. This role would see a successful candidate manage the full ER case cycle across various business units. Given the nature of my clients operations it is essential that you hold a driving license and are happy with regional travel. The role will involve the following responsibilities:ER case management solutions that is in line with policy and cost effectiveness to the business.Attending disciplinary and grievance meetings with employees who are 'high-risk'.Coaching managers on ER issues, and taking a proactive rather than reactive approach.Supporting the ER Manager and HR Business Partners in the delivery of specialist ER training to managers.Build effective relationships across the business to promote good employee relations across the business.Escalate issues to the ER Manager for any concerns in relation to business risk or where advice has not been appropriately actioned.To assist with HR and ER projects including research and coordination of the projects and making recommendations for future action.To contribute to the development of policies, procedures and processes as well as assist with the introduction of new or revised ER policy and procedural issues.This role will require an enthusiastic self-starter, with extensive experience in the management of complex employee relations cases, managing a high caseload within own time. Applicants should have:Excellent knowledge of employment legislation.Proven experience of interpreting policy and working with business areas to ensure effective ER case resolution.Experience of managing ER issues and advising, coaching, influencing managers up to and including senior managers.Ability to work on own in a regional role as well as ensuring regular proactive communication with both colleagues and manager.Experience of managing a high volume of complex ER cases.
