Our client is a commercial client with offices based all over the UK.

Your new role
This is a Regional position: based out of our clients Frimley office however please note there will be travel to Gatwick and Heathrow Airports as well as Reading and the South Coast. Salary up to £42,000 plus a car

The role

To provide pragmatic HR advice, guidance and support to the business managers when cases cannot be resolved using the ER Support desk
To effectively manage ER caseloads in a proactive and commercial focused manner
To work alongside the business on TUPE, mobilisations and demobilisations
To work alongside the business on large change programmes/restructuring
To build capability of the line managers through effective training and coaching in managing people.
To ensure a positive experience for all Managers by providing excellent customer service and technical employment law advice always
To work closely with the ER Support Centre, supporting on complex cases that need intervention out in the field
To manage a broad and varied case load including but not limited to, disciplinary, grievance, investigations, absence management, redundancy
To ensure all cases are advised on and managed in line with the company policies and procedures in a timely way
To coach and influence all Managers to ensure that decisions are in line with current legislation while remaining commercially aware.
To provide training, coaching, guidance to Managers once the ER Support centre have identified trends and patterns
To be an instrumental part of all mobilisations and demobilisations, including liaising with all Incumbents and attending welcome meetings
To be an instrumental part of all large-scale change programmes where restructuring is required
To maintain and promote relationships with the wider HR colleagues and teams
To proactively keep Employment Law knowledge up to date as legislation changes
To understand and comply with policies and procedures
To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required
To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required

What you'll need to succeed
Ability to challenge and influence key decision makers with an assertive and confident approach
Strong generalist HR background and experience of complex HR issues including redundancies, dismissals, change management, ideally gained within commercial environment
Demonstrable experience in managing high volume Employee Relations cases
Excellent Employment Legislation knowledge
Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with people from different levels of the organisation and across the different lines of business
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, SharePoint
Proficiency in SAP HR and payroll system or another recognised HR database preferred but not essential
Ability to multi task, work to deadlines, prioritise under pressure and use own initiative
Excellent team player with the ability to build effective team relationships and promote an environment of trust and flexibility
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Resolution and results driven with a flexible and can-do attitude
Experience of working within a customer service environment. Risk awareness handling confidential information with due diligence
Accuracy and attention to detail recording detailed notes in the call logging system and responding to all queries with accurate information
The ability to analyse information, provide insight to trends and advise the HRBP in the business on patterns or concerns
The ability and willingness to travel - whilst the roles are regionally based there will be a requirement to support other regions as and when required
Full Driving License
CIPD qualification or Employment Law qualification is desirable
