What will you be doing?

You will lead the HR team that supports a key business unit.  You will be responsible for challenging the HR team and ensuring that they get real stretch and development. You will also be expected to challenge your peers and colleagues to deliver genuine business partnering and you will have the gravitas and intellectual agility to take senior stakeholders with you and gain their buy-in. You will become a trusted advisor to the business in the truest sense.

At the moment the organisation is fairly siloed in their approach but they want to move away from this and deliver an HR service that is fit for purpose across the business. They have a great plan to transform HR and are well on the journey but they need someone that can really champion and drive this change.

Who are we looking for?

Someone who is innovative and challenging and can substantiate the achievements listed on their CV. Our client needs someone that is really commercial. It seems that we have been talking about HR being more commercial for years but this is still not always the case. You will be able to demonstrate a clear return on investment for initiatives that you have both led and implemented. We don’t just want an implementer, we are after someone that seeks continual engagement with stakeholders and has the ability to add value through creative yet practical people solutions.

You will be a great influencer who has led a HR team that is seen to be proactive and value adding. We want a good generalist but importantly someone who is well used to working with HR specialists across the various centres of excellence. You will champion this specialist expertise and ensure that it informs improvements in how HR is delivered locally.

We are looking for someone with a real intent of purpose. Someone who can take a vision and really make it happen through great ideas and strong leadership.

We will be looking for evidence that you can operate successfully in a large, complex international business.
