Are you a Learning & Development expert? Are you a talented trainer with a passion for developing people’s capability? If so Sue Ryder are looking for a learning professional to lead our Learning Team. You’ll be responsible for delivering a high quality learning service which will underpin an effective and credible learning programme for our people. The Learning & Development Team Lead will support the design and delivery of capability strategies and plans that anticipate and respond to organisational change. 

We are a national Charity with over 3,500 employees, no two days are the same and this is a great opportunity to continue to develop your own skills whilst being directly responsible for developing those of others. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Leading the Learning team - managing a team of learning professionals, supporting their individual and professional development, and ensuring a continuously improving service 
  • Leading delivery of team plans and monitoring quality standards 
  • Working with senior leaders across the organisation to identify priority development needs and to lead the design and delivery of appropriate solutions 
  • Supporting implementation of an evaluation framework to establish ROI of learning activity and ensure maximum impact of the learning budget the organisation 

About You 

It’s an exciting time to join Sue Ryder and to hit the ground running ideally you will have previous demonstrable experience of leading a Learning and Development team across a multi-site organisation. You’ll have experience of designing and facilitating a management development programme and professional knowledge of the latest trends within learning & development, particularly blended and e-learning solutions. We also require experience of facilitating team workshops at senior manager level
