Reporting to the HR Director you will take responsibility for the development and delivery of a comprehensive L&D strategy.
Our client is a large and highly successful business based in North Kent.
As Learning & Development Manager you will report to the HR Director and will work closely with the wider HR team and Managers across the business to ensure the L&D strategy supports the needs of the business while also addressing the development needs of staff and management.
This will include:
- Managing the appraisal process and ensuring Managers are fully trained on how to conduct and follow up on appraisal meetings
- Working with with the business to identify training needs and will work with both internal and external providers in order to provide cost effective training programmes.
- Conducting job evaluations
- Identifying future talent and working with Managers and Directors to ensure there is a continuous pipeline of talent.
This will be a varied role and you will also have the opportunity to work on a number of key HR related projects.
You will have a strong L&D background ideally gained within an industrial environment. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to lead and influence senior stakeholders and will have previous experience of driving L&D strategy and educating the business on the tools available to them.
A wider understanding of the broader HR function would also be highly beneficial with the ability to integrate L&D into the overall HR plan.
Basic salary up to £45,000
