The Pensions Ombudsman (TPO) is an independent organisation set up to investigate complaints and disputes concerning pension schemes. We’re growing and currently around 60 strong. ‘Strong’ reflects what TPO is all about. TPO attracts highly skilled staff and is a great place for people to come to work.

Our aim is to support one another to provide the best service we can for people who use us. What we do makes a real difference to people’s lives, particularly at a time when every penny counts and people have to have confidence in pensions if they are to save for tomorrow.

We’re looking for…

…an experienced HR professional looking for their next challenge. Reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll help oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR function and will be the first point of contact for all of the routine HR issues. A big element of the HR teams work over the next 18 months is about helping to foster change across the business. We’re looking to develop our ways of working, specifically empowering managers and employees to self-manage routine HR activities.

The ideal candidate will be excellent at the day-to-day and have a high degree of initiative, creativity, energy and enthusiasm as well as being able to forge and maintain working relationships at all levels.

It is a very exciting time to join The Pensions Ombudsman.

We will soon be moving to brand new offices in Canary Wharf; we will be taking on a number of new staff from another organisation; we are developing a new staff intranet; and we will be introducing Smarter Working across the business which will affect how and when people across the organisation work.

(Initially based at The Pensions Ombudsman office in Victoria, in April 2018 we will be moving to Canary Wharf and the successful candidate must be willing to move to the new office).
