My client, a luxury retailer are currently seeking a HR Assistant to join their Head Office team to support the delivery of an efficient HR service.

You will be working from their Head Office above the flagship Bond Street store, and report jointly to the HR Director and the HR Manager and will have exposure to all aspects of generalist HR for 100 employees in Retail stores across UK and France.

This is a very exciting opportunity for someone to get involved in global projects with teams in the USA and Greater China.

Main responsibilities:

HR Administration

Act as the first point of contact for HR policies and procedures to line managers and employees.

Maintain the HR system, organisation charts and trackers accurately.

Complete all paperwork for full employee life cycle (starters, leavers, contract changes).

Provide references upon request.

Handle HR invoices, ensuring they are processed within applicable deadlines and updating the actuals vs budget tracker.

Assist with administration of annual performance and salary reviews.

Ensure all electronic and paper filing systems are maintained in an orderly and systematic manner.

Administer staff discount and long service award requests and approvals.

Manage and maintain training records.

Payroll & Benefits

Collate and prepare the monthly payroll input for UK and France and check that the output is accurate.

Compile monthly payroll journal for the Finance team.

Support the HR Manager with preparation of tax year end documents (P11D, P60) and payroll audits.

Oversee administration of all benefits (pension, healthcare, childcare vouchers, cycle to work).


Support recruitment activities by drafting job adverts, shortlisting applications and liaising with candidates.

Conduct preliminary screening for junior level recruits within Head Office and Retail stores.

Oversee the Company's recruitment inbox, responding to speculative applications.

The right candidate for this role MUST have up to 1 years working HR experience, used to working in fast pace environments and highly engaging and switched on. There will be frequent liaison between the UK and France office so if you speak French that would be highly desirable.
