Payroll Manager £50k to £55k + Bens - North London

A nice Chartered Accountancy Practice with a great reputation seek an experienced Payroll Manager to head up, lead and drive their payroll offering.

Reporting into three Senior Partners and managing one member of staff this really is a critical role for the practice and one that is reflective in the salary that is on offer.

My client are looking for someone who has a wealth of payroll experience within a Bureau/Chartered Accountancy environment but someone who is also lively and confident that can work well under pressure.

The role is as follows:

Reporting into 3 Partners

Working with 1 direct report

Systems Used: Excel and Iris

Responsible for 450 weekly and monthly Client Payrolls ranging from 1 to 210 employees totalling 3,500 employees: This is a full start to finish payroll

Responsible for all Bonus, Commissions, AE and Pensions payments

Benefits: Responsible for all Benefits negotiations and administration on behalf of clients which include: Pensions, PMI, Dental Care, Company Cars, STL and Gym Memberships

Vendor Management

Main point of contact for all Payroll, Benefits and Pensions queries

Constantly liaising and advising Clients and Partners on all aspects of Payroll and HR related matters: Up to date with all UK legislation

Meeting with clients on a weekly basis to understand their requirements and setting up new payrolls accordingly

Dealing with all Contractors and Sub-contractors: Monthly CIS Returns and Tax Statements

Month End and Year End Reports: Reconciliations and RTI Submissions

Taxable Benefit reports and Submissions of P11Ds

Dealing with all Queries and Returns from Government and External Agencies

Payroll Statutory Record keeping

Knowledge & Skills Required:

Must have a wealth of Payroll experience gained within a firm of Accountants or Payroll bureau

Excellent communication skills internal/external

Be able to manage one member of staff

Be confident, well spoken and presented

Excellent attention to detail

Meet strict deadlines

Knowledge of Sage/Iris would be beneficial

Strong Excel
