Head of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion - NW - excellent salary
Are you an experienced Equality, Diversity & Inclusion specialist with a strong track record of delivery in complex organisations? Or are you a generalist HR professional with a passion for EDI? Would you like to be the first EDI specialist in an organisation whose influence is far reaching? If so, then we have a rare opportunity for you!
Our North West based confidential client is a well-known industry leader whose activities impact upon the lives of millions, so having an EDI strategy that reflects the communities within which it operates is key. As a starter for ten and with genuine support from the Chief Executive and senior stakeholders on the executive team; your objective will be to raise the profile of EDI across the whole organisation and contracted partners.
You will drive the business strategy on all EDI initiatives and so develop an inclusive workplace for all employees and strategic partners. What that means in practical terms is developing and implementing the strategy, raising the EDI profile by engaging with leaders across the business and working with them to establish plans and actions to embed EDI within business policy and practices.
Externally to the business, the role will benchmark and collaborate with other organisations and diversity bodies to enable this organisation to become recognised as an employer champion in EDI. This includes accreditations and representation at national forums.
From a technical perspective, you will have a track record of developing and implementing first class EDI strategies within complex multi-stakeholder environments. You will have significant experience of developing and embedding a strategic commitment to EDI.
From a personal perspective, you will have excellent senior stakeholder skills, be a strong influencer and collaborator, focused on delivering actions and results. Your delivery through others will be first class.
What will the organisation offer in return?
The genuine opportunity to be at the start of a unique journey; at the sharp end of setting the EDI strategy and of helping this organisation take a step to a more diverse and inclusive future.
