You will be responsible for supporting the training agenda within the investment business, designing solutions, and then driving individual outcomes and team-wide performance through your insight and skills. Client Details

My client are leading Financial Services firm based in the city of London.


To provide world class L&D support to the sales team covering all stages of the learning cycle, this position will focus on bringing a technical understanding of investment and pension products, and supporting the Learning & Development Manager in equipping our sales teams to deal professionally with wealth advisers. Initially this will help facilitate sales of protection products, however the emphasis will be on preparing Sales teams for our own-branded pension & investment products which will follow in due course.


  • To act as a consultant within the Training Team, building excellent working relationships with other teams/ resources to deliver end-to-end solutions. Drive forward and carry out hands-on work within all areas of the training cycle

  • Building investments and pensions knowledge within our sales teams, and the associated sales skills and business consulting practices

  • Consult with Learning & Development Manager and other stakeholders to ensure accurate understanding of training needs. This includes identifying the appropriate knowledge, skills and business practices which should feature in our syllabus

  • Ensure learning interventions meet compliance, skills, and T&C requirements. Also that L&D solutions support the business strategy, messaging, and desired behaviours

  • Constant evaluation and review of training material and delivery methods to ensure an environment of constant improvement is implemented and maintained

  • Act as a product knowledge expert for the sales team

  • Participate and support other initiatives as part of the Learning and Development team


  • Qualified / experienced at degree level

  • Experience with advising on investment and pensions products

  • Certificate in Training Practice or equivalent experience

  • Experience with advising on investment and pensions products

  • Proven track record within training experience in a financial services sales environment

  • Experience of delivering high profile training programmes in a demanding environment

  • Proven experience in delivering memorable presentations


  • Level 4 qualified

  • Experience of achieving sales success in a financial services environment

  • Experience of delivering learning interventions containing complex technical concepts

  • Experience in designing and delivery management development and soft skills training
