We have been retained by a leading UK based international relief development agency looking to appoint a new Global Head of HR. This NGO has been working for over thirty years to help improve and save the lives of millions of people in over 30 of the world's poorest countries.

As this organisation has grown the need has arisen for a HR leader who can bring innovation and best practice to meet the demands of a complex international charity. As the successful applicant you will responsible for a growing team in the UK and overseas fostering a culture of excellence and innovation whilst acting as a trusted leader.

You will manage a team of approximately 7 - 10 in the UK (3 HR Managers will report directly into you), as well as country Managers across 14 countries. Overall responsibility for over 1000 employees. You will lead by example and will be responsible for HR leadership and strategy, HR services, recruitment, performance and employee relations, policy, organisational development, culture and international HR.

You will have the opportunity to travel especially in the first year, up to 3 - 4 times as you advise and support the Country Directors on operational and strategic HR needs.

To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you will be a confident HR generalist with extensive experience of all HR generalist disciplines. You will have managed and lead a HR function in a multicultural international organisation with a complex and matrix structure and be more than comfortable managing senior stakeholders and leading organisational development globally.

You will also need to show a good understanding and empathy with the Islamic values and principles, although you will not need to be of any faith or religion personally. Experience of working within the humanitarian sector would be advantageous.
