My client is ambitious and inspiring National charity supporting people affected with life changing illness through treatment and ultimately with a goal of finding a cure. I am supporting their search for a Head of Internal Communications and Engagement.

Communication and engagement with their employees is key to the successes of the charity and will directly affect their ability to achieve their goals. This role will be responsible for delivery of key engagement strategies from strategic planning to the development and communication of key change programmes together with HR and the senior leadership team.

The Head of Internal Communications and Engagement will be a pivotal role in ensuring all their people both employees and volunteers feel engaged, valued and well informed; and have a voice which is heard. You will demonstrate a proactive and strategic approach to the role with the ability to influence your stakeholders and leaders to drive change and use your experience to improve the communications and engagement approach. This charity is continually developing its approach and use of new technologies and innovations and would expect you to be tech savvy with experience using digital platforms to communicate with the charity. You will have worked and managed a company intranet.

Ideally you will have worked in a complex organization with geographically dispersed staff with direct line management experience and a proven track record of developing your direct reports. This role will have one direct report and will report into the Executive Director of People. You will have experience delivering internal communications and engagement strategies including engagement surveys and project management around this and change programs. You will have the ability to be flexible and efficient managing a complex mix of projects whilst maintaining the values and ethos of the charity.

This role will suit an experienced Internal Communications and Engagement specialist with vison and initiative and the ability to be a strong influencer. You will not only support and champion the charities ambitions plan but will lead on the UK Wide development and delivery of the annual engagement and communications plan.
