Partnering with the CEO and Executive team, this is an opportunity to create and embed a people strategy aligned to their core values and operational priorities, attracting and retaining the best talent to continually improve their service proposition.
Inheriting a team of c.40FTE spanning accountability for the end-to-end talent cycle – including HR Operations and Reward, a priority will be to raise effectiveness and lead them through a period of transformation.
Organisational change and development will continue to be a strong theme across Talent Acquisition & Management and Learning & Development; supporting direct reports to embed new technology, re-engineer processes, and increase capability within their teams to effectively partner with organisational leaders - achieving critical SLA measures and improving overall engagement.
Building their EVP will help to enable them attract talent in a highly competitive market, and improving the content, accessibility and evaluation of development solutions will contribute to driving improved retention.
It’s a transformational role at its heart and the successful candidate will lead the team to intrinsically ‘join-up’ all activities across the talent cycle.
The successful candidate will demonstrate career success as an HRD within a multi-site organisation of similar or larger scale, leading a team of HR generalists and Specialists. Adept at leading a highly regarded people function skilled to attract and retain a significant workforce rewarded at national minimum wage. Whilst the role will be based at their HQ in Oxfordshire it is anticipated approximately 2-3 days per week will be spent here, with the remaining time spent out in the business with operational leaders, and flexibility to work from home.
