Group HR Manager
Ashley Kate HR are delighted to be working along side a global manufacturing organisation who are looking for a Group HR Manager on a permanent, full-time basis. Reporting the MD as part of the Senior Management Team, you will drive all operational excellence in people management activities across a number of sites.
You will support the Management Team to achieve its objectives by developing and communicating sound HR practices and standards; and by organising a department to provide professional HR & Payroll Service.
Managing a team of Advisors, payroll staff and training personnel you will need to have strong man management experience and also be the leader in creating HR best practice across the business.
Group HR Manager - Key Responsibilities:
·Employee relations - manage absence, disciplinaries, grievances.
·Develop constructive relations with union representatives. Identify areas that require improvement and develop action plans to address. Participate in annual pay negotiations process. Expert in Harlow related Terms of Agreement with unions.
·Performance Management - coach managers on performance management issues and processes. Actively promote two-way feedback between employees and managers. Monitor and drive completion of formal performance activities.
·HR Reporting - complete routine and ad-hoc reporting requirements. HR system administrator.
·Manage effective delivery of recruitment from liaising with agencies, through to interviewing for all senior level appointments.
·Liaise with the payroll administrator and check and authorise the payroll on a monthly basis.
·Policy & procedures - develop and implement HR policies, procedures and processes, in alignment with European and Global practices. Ensure all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current employment law. Ensure line managers are up to date with changes to policies and legislation.
·You will need to work closely with the Technical and Quality Managers from an audit perspective and lead control on Ethical Standards.
·Learning & Development - providing guidance on development for managers and their teams. Implement European initiatives to the sites and central functions.
·Working with managers to provide coaching and advice on all people issues.
·Managing priorities between casework and projects.
·You will need to have a graduate level degree in HR or business.
·Food Manufacturing experience would be highly advantageous.
