Your new role
Recruitment is fast-paced and dynamic. Every day you'll be making a lasting impact. As a Resourcing Consultant you will be generating new candidates to place with our Human Resources clients. You'll be trained and fully supported by our dedicated management team, based in Preston. We'll show you how to utilise the best sourcing channels in the industry and you'll be representing some of the most prestigious companies and skilled candidate in the HR industry across the Lancashire and Cumbria area.
Main responsibilities include:
Screening candidates and matching them to suitable job roles
Sourcing job applicants from the database and exploring employment opportunities
Contacting candidates to arrange interviews via telephone and email
Establishing contacts to help build the client database
Negotiate salary and benefit issues with job candidates
Respond to general consultancy enquiries
Arranging telephone and face-to-face interviews
Research, identify and attract candidates using all appropriate methods to satisfy job requirements
Write, place and update adverts in line with company procedures
Monitor responses/applications received and make sure that candidate's applications are processed efficiently
Qualify, shortlist and present suitable candidates against defined job vacancies
Assist in the recruitment and selection processes by effectively liaising with the candidates and internal teams
Initiate, manage and develop candidate relationships
Understand and meet agreed KPIs and targets
What you'll need to succeed
There's not one typical person that we look for to join Hays Recruitment, we've got people from all kinds of backgrounds - retail, sales professionals, telesales, call centre environments, graduates… all with an interest in Human Resources and recruitment. However, given the nature of this resourcing role, you will need to demonstrate an organised approach to your work and an ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels as well as having the ability to build rapport and develop long-standing relationships.
