Oakleaf Partnership are currently working with a large international leisure business who are looking for a dynamic and commercial HR Business Partner to join their team on an contract to permanent basis. Within this position you will focus on the Technology client group of circa 800 employees within the UK. Due to the urgent requirements of the role you will need to be available at short notice. The role will be based in London with regular travel to Leeds and Gibraltar.

The role reports directly the HR Director for online who travels to international sites regularly and therefore someone who can work autonomously is essential. The role will be 40% strategic and 60% operational and include the full employee life cycle of support to leaders within the IT/tech client group. You will be working in a fast paced and ambiguous environment and manage some challenging stakeholders. You will build close relationships with senior tech leaders - those people who report directly to our Group CIO. You will understand their goals and challenges, and together you'll embed a leadership culture that supports and delivers the technology objectives. You'll focus on leadership development; coaching and supporting managers to recruit and develop their teams. You'll deal with complex employee relations cases, and with your guidance, the techies will gain a better understanding of HR and how the policies and procedures can help them.

As well as improving operational HR practices, you'll have an impact on the HR strategy. The HR function is well respected across the business, and you'll be able to work closely with senior stakeholders. You'll have input into Director level conversations, and there's a platform for your ideas to be turned into workable HR solutions.

To be successful for this position you should have the ability to build relationships with senior tech team, and excellent interpersonal skills and credibility. You should have a depth of experience within a HRBP role ideally within the tech, digital client group or within retail or leisure. You should be able to work at pace and have strong leadership and coaching skills.
