The role…

Our client is looking for a commercial HR Manager who understands what makes a business tick and can really help drive performance across the organisation.

This is a business that is continually winning new contracts and for this reason we are looking for sound employee relations experience. This will include exposure to TUPE, restructuring, employee engagement and org design. TUPE experience both in and out is absolutely key here!

How you will fit into the business…

Working across the business you will be required to have a presence with stakeholders at all levels. You must be good with people as stakeholder engagement is a key requirement of this role. As a generalist HR professional, you will be great at what you do and you will know what great looks like too. You will be involved operational HR work that spans ER, Recruitment, L&D, Talent Management etc. You will also be involved with and lead on key HR projects. There will be a focus on HR tech on the horizon and you can help them get the best out of this technology.

We are looking for…

We would like to see HR Managers that have worked in similar roles with commercial organisations that have circa 1000 employees or greater. We want to see candidates who are happy working at this level. This might suit someone that has done a couple of similar HR Manager roles previously.

You don’t need to have sector experience but you should be used to working in an operational environment that has similar demands from HR. If you have worked in construction or facilities, there are likely to be synergies with the way this business works.

You will be a good communicator that likes working with autonomy, a real people person and you will be keen to get on and develop your career in HR. On a technical level you will have strong ER experience (TUPE is essential) and you will be understanding of current and future trends in HR. You must have a practical knowledge of designing, developing and rolling out change programmes and you should be able to demonstrate evidence of working as a strategic business partner.
