Senior HR Operational Control Manager - Edinburgh

This is a newly created role working for leading financial services organisation based in Edinburgh. Working as part of the SLT for the HR Shared Services Team, reporting to the head of HR Shared Services, you will lead, manage and deliver the HR function service control, oversight and SAP organisational management.

You will be responsible for HR Operational Risk, gaining a detailed understanding of all HR processes and systems, reviewing and identify HR risks. You will play a key role in identifying development needs of the already implemented SAP system. Working closely with the HRD and HR leadership you will drive HR system controls, driving risk awareness and provide clarity and confidence that risks are being managed appropriately. In addition, you will also work closely with the wider risk function playing a key role with regular forums, understanding governance frameworks and playing a key role in advocating change and improvements.

We are looking for an accomplished operational risk professional who ideally has experience of HR operational risk. You will be by nature be inquisitive and won't shy away from asking questions. You will have also gained this experienced within the financial services sector and will therefore have a detailed understanding of the Senior Managers Regime. You will have the ability to influence across the business, including Senior Leaders and a proven ability to manage and mitigate risk effectively whilst embedding internal and external best practice. You will be an effective senior stakeholder manager and the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
