Global Payroll Leader - £100k to £140k + Bonus - City

A leading global Insurance Brokers with offices based in the City seek an experienced Global Payroll Leader to come in and work across all global markets but with an initial focus on the UK and North American population.

The Global Payroll Leader is a critical member of the HR Global Business and is responsible for providing strategic direction on global payroll.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in global payroll operations and will have a passion for creating innovative payroll solutions.

You will be responsible for:

Corporate and local payroll strategy, planning, communications and marketing the payroll functions and related services

Foster relationships with senior internal stakeholder and working collaboratively with other corporate and country level teams including HR, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Employee Benefits, Compensation, IT and Finance

Run day to day payroll operations, support new and existing pay programs (local and global), manage vendor contracts and relationships and drive process standardisation, automation and improvement in the controls for payroll globally and ensure process efficiency and effectiveness.

The position will also oversee the team in global expansion initiatives including exploring and managing the implementation of 3rd party vendors to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance in multiple countries

This position will be responsible for the coaching, mentoring and leadership of the team of individuals and managers that provide the day to day payroll support

You will need to have:

Prior experience with global payroll and payroll tax

Knowledge of stock, travel and time and attendance programs (TNA)

Experience of setting up payroll requirements for new tax entities

Exposure of M&A activities

Experience of managing several large payroll vendors and contracts

Knowledge & experience working with payroll vendors & platform technologies

Ability to work effectively across all levels and layers of the organisation
