Purpose of Role

As HR Payroll Officer you will be part of the wider HR team, you will be responsible for providing an effective in-house payroll administration services for all employees within UK, Ireland & Jersey.  This includes accurate data entry and processing of payroll items of multiple payroll on a monthly pay cycle for approximately 3000 employees. You will also be a main point of contact for employee payroll queries and will support the Payroll Manager in the delivery of payroll services.

Main Duties:

  • Accurate data entry and payroll processing for monthly payrolls in Oracle Payroll
  • Responding to and resolving employee payroll queries
  • Interpreting various terms, conditions, allowances and payment in conjunction with the HR team
  • Administration and coordination of employee benefits, insurances and compensation working with the wider HR team
  • Support pension and benefits payroll administration; pension application forms, monthly contributions, changes to benefit levels, and changes to terms and conditions tracking
  • Process monthly contribution schedules for pension providers and ensure contributions are loaded into the relevant pension administration system
  • Provide regular monthly reporting to the HR Business Partners, HR Co-Ordinators and HR Managers as required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

Essential:

  • Relevant payroll processing experience; processing a large payroll of 500+ employees
  • Demonstrate high level accountability for end-to-end process, diligence and a track record of high quality work
  • Strong numerical, problem solving, and analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external parties
  • Strong PC and Microsoft Skills, in particular Word and Excel
  • A confident team member with flexibility, adaptability and a friendly positive attitude

Desirable:

  • Experience with Oracle Payroll EBS
