Ashley Kate UK are proud to be partnering with a leading Food Manufacturer in Peterborough who now need to appoint a Commercial Accountant to join the business following some exciting restructures to their busy Finance Team.
The focus of the role is to drive business performance.
Reporting to the company Finance Manager, the role will include a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to:
·Analysing and reporting monthly sale, gross margin retentions, and relevant balance sheet accounts.
·Reviewing the business commercial and product costings and reporting on finding to the Senior Management.
·Verify and report on promotional discounts and promotional transactions
·Own and report weekly on sales forecasting, business margin and cash flow forecasting
·Leading in actions to resolve short dated/out of date/finished goods to ensure provisions are replaced in a timely manner
·Build strong relationships with mangers and support the business plans wholeheartedly
·Support and drive commercial plans and supply chain
·Develop and understand internal SAP systems and champion the software, providing training to other team members
·Additional Finance projects as allocated by the Finance manager
Skills & Qualifications;
·CIMA or ACCA qualified or equivalent
·Proven experience of driving sales performance in an operational environment and able to implement business plans
·Advanced Excel skills
·Advanced user on SAP or similar
·Excellent communication skills
You should have strong commercial awareness, a decision maker demonstrating rationale and logical, a problem solver with a can do attitude.
