Interim Employee Relations Consultant for a University in London. 6 month contract, paying up to £44,000. Candidates looking to apply will need to be either immediately available or on one weeks notice.
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will be the interim ER Consultant responsible for managing all Employee Relations casework for your client group, within the university. This will involve managing a number of cases including disciplinaries, grievances, capability and performance management cases for both academics and staff across professional service areas. You will need to have up to date Employment Law knowledge and quickly learn the HR policies and processes for this University in order to be able to advise managers on policies and processes regarding employees issues.
Your involvement in casework will vary from managing the process from start to finish, coaching the line manager to producing template letters, taking minutes in ER meetings and keeping the ER tracker spreadsheet updated, via Excel. Candidates looking to apply will need to be able to demonstrate Intermediate to Advanced Excel, including v look ups and picot tables.
Other areas of this role will include sickness absence management and Occupational Health coordination.
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate their initiative, be resilient and robust, have a 'can do' attitude and b e able to work quickly to keep ER casework moving.
