People and Culture Manager - Retail

My client is a renowned Retail brand who are looking to hire a HR Business Partner to join their friendly team in store on a 12 month contract basis, with scope to extend. This role will be working closely with the Store Manager, responsible for approx. 500 employees.

The main focus of the successful People and Culture Manager will be to drive the people agenda in store, build strong working relationships across the client group, as well as manage all generalist HR needs.

Key responsibilities include:

Identify and drive the people agenda, ensuring people and culture plans are aligned with business culture

Work closely with your client group colleagues and line managers to deliver the people plan and culture

Share strategies with other Business Partners to create best practice and leverage organisational gains

Manage and advise on ER issues as required

Oversee and advise on the recruitment process

Advise on a positive learning & development culture within the store, delivering consistent feedback and appraisals

Monitor performance management from floor staff to line management

Support the team on monthly Payroll as and when needed

Essential knowledge, skills and experience:

Experience in Retail, Hospitality or similar industry

Experience at Advisor or BP level working with a large client group

CIPD or equivalent qualification would be desirable with good employment law knowledge

Comfortable in a fast paced and changing environment

Strong consultative skills and highly effective in communicating clearly

The ability to influence at all levels

Passionate about people

Energetic, driven and determined to deliver

Ability to engage and influence at all levels
