Job title – HR Manager

Location – Central London

Contract type – Permanent, part-time (potentially full-time within a couple of years) – likely to be 3 days per week initially

Reward – Circa £50-55k per annum paid on a pro rata basis (may be flexible for a superstar)

They are offering a great role to someone that is looking for an interesting and varied opportunity within HR where they can really shape how things are done.

This will be the first ever HR role in this well-respected private equity real estate business. Working in a stand-alone capacity you will help the business put commercial HR processes in place that really benefit the organisation as it grows. You will help shape HR for the future and will get to work with a relatively blank canvas.

It is key that you gain buy-in from your colleagues and help them to see the commercial benefits of what you are doing. We are looking for someone that is confident in their own ability that can introduce HR practices that enable the growth of a successful and exciting business.

Working on a full-time or part-time basis (likely to be 3 days per week).

What will be keeping you busy?

There will undoubtedly be opportunity for you to lend your expertise to your colleagues here. They want to make sure that they attract and retain the best talent available and you will be in a position to advise and influence on this and a range of other HR initiatives. They will also seek ongoing advice in designing and defining new and additional personnel needs.

The main focus of this role will be to support the business as well as employees working through some related businesses with a variety of generalist HR activities. This will include policy and procedure advice, employee relations and employment law, recruitment strategy, performance and reward management and talent development. You will provide first class HR support and sound advice to the business and help it plan for the future.

Who are we looking for?

Above all we are looking for an engaging HR generalist with real depth of knowledge and experience. This might be someone that has worked as a HR Business Partner or HR Manager. You may have held a more senior role.

Whatever your reasons for wanting to consider a part-time opportunity, it is important to understand that there may be times when you have to work in the evening occasionally or on specific days. There will be reasonable advance warning of this and a good deal of flexibility will be on offer here.

We are looking for an individual that has a good level of experience and gravitas that will engage with this business and work with them to develop their own strong HR practices. You will be professional but also good humoured with the ability to provide great advice and real value to your colleagues. You will be someone who has a strong track record of working as a trusted advisor to your key stakeholders. We need someone that can provide pragmatic solutions to a small but growing business. This is not an organisation that needs over-engineered processes put in place.
