Job Title – Academy L&D Programme Manager

Location: Southampton, Reading area or London

Salary: Circa £60k per annum plus benefits

Contract type: Permanent

Location: Southampton/Bracknell / other locations will be considered

You will:

  • Drive a culture of service excellence, customer care and value for money, role-model this as a customer champion and coach others to deliver customer care, including through times of change.
  • Work closely with the Group Change Programme team and colleagues across the business to understand operational priorities and concerns and define any specific interventions or improvement required.
  • Manage the portfolio of Academy projects
  • Lead a small content development team to design, deliver and evaluate first class learning content which supports the improvement in the capability of your colleagues.
  • Create and maintain, processes and procedures to ensure the Academy are easy to do business with and key metrics are available. Provide expertise and guidance on best practice learning technology formats and channels to support stakeholders with learning and development projects.
  • Be responsible for ‘spreading the word’ of the work of the academy, working closely with the Internal Communications team to develop and maintain the comms plan  
  • Own the quality by defining the quality standards and ensuring all learning is designed, developed, implemented and evaluated to the highest quality standards. Support and coach the business to meet standards where needed.
  • Drive innovation, always looking for new and different ways to engage colleagues in learning
  • Build and maintain great stakeholders relationships both internally & externally
  • Manage your own compliance with health and safety rules, instructions, systems and legal requirements, ensuring employees are suitably trained and adequate resources are available to work safely.
  • Monitor and review health and safety performance, observe safety behaviours in the workplace, taking appropriate corrective and preventive action as necessary and suggesting and implementing improvement activities.

You must:

  • Be able to use your excellent communication skills to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Keep up to date with the latest trends in Learning and be able to assess the relevance to the business and the area requirements
  • Be self-motivated and be a credible partner to the business
  • Use your expert knowledge in learning programme management to deliver effective projects on time and within budget
