My client is looking for a HR Manager to join their Area's management team and partner the Area Director for Africa and Asia on all HR matters and advise on all HR best practice.

This role reports into the Area Director with a dotted line reporting to the HR Director based in Maidenhead and you'll have 2 direct reports. You will be responsible for Africa, Asia & India and due to the nature of this role you will be expected to travel which could be 4-5 times a year.

You will be responsible for:

  • Advising the Area Director on the Area HR Strategy supporting 1 and 5 year business plans
  • Advise on all key strategic HR issues
  • Develop, execute and manage the employment budget
  • Ensure all country policies and procedures are up to date and in line with current employment legislation and practice
  • Deal with all Employee Relations
  • Plan all coaching on performance management ensuring process is completed for all employees
  • Learning & Development - provide guidance on development for managers and their teams in countries as well updating training plans, implementing and monitoring on progress
  • Advise on all recruitment
  • Review pay and benefit packages and ensure local benchmarking is applied for all countries
  • Work closely with the HR Director and Head Office HR team as and when required to deliver corporate or Area projects
  • Leads and manages projects, on time and within budget, as required

Skills & Experience needed:

  • CIPD qualified, supported by strong generalist HR management experience
  • Excellent HR generalist knowledge with a thorough knowledge and understanding of employment law including India
  • International HR experience dealing with senior stakeholders across the business
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Confident leading a small team and advising managers on all aspects of people management and development
  • Ability to articulate complex HR issues effectively and confidently
  • High attention to detail and dealing with complex HR
