Your new company are based just on the outskirts of Carlisle, a fast-growing and highly successful entrepreneurial business. With a headcount of circa 100 employees and plans for expansion after yet another good financial year, they are now looking to welcome a Senior HR Advisor to their organisation.
Your new role
Your new job will entail setting up the HR department for the organisation, including the sourcing and implementation of HR systems, policies and procedures whilst overseeing the operational side of HR such as advising and dealing with disciplinary and grievance. You will be implementing and developing a company policy handbook, as well as revising recruitment methodology, employee engagement and talent retention in addition to developing company benefits. In the long-term, this job has the scope to become much more strategic.
What you'll need to succeed
This role will require a CIPD qualified true HR generalist, well versed in the operational side of HR from disciplinaries and grievances to employee engagement and retention. You will be a pragmatic individual who has strong experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures as well as vast exposure to overseeing recruitment and selection. You will have experience and a sound understanding of working with HR systems and databases in addition to having a vision for talent development and engagement.
