Training & Competence Manager - Liverpool
Our client is a one of the UK's leading providers of personalised investment management and wealth management services for private investors and services. Based in Liverpool with some travel to London we are recruiting for an experienced Training and Competence Manager. The purpose of the role is to create, implement and manage the Training and Competence schemes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
The key focus of the role will be to create and review the training and competence policies for all regulated employees and to lead the implementation of training and competence policies. You will also lead the management of the programmes; ensuring new recruits and supervisors are aware of the responsibilities and requirements. You will also ensure that the SMCR regime is implemented
This is a broad role and will require a candidate with significant experience in managing training and competence schemes in a wealth management environment or similar with a minimum of Level 4 in wealth management, investment or financial planning. You will also have an in-depth technical knowledge of current T&C regulatory requirements / SMCR (either having implemented SMCR or currently working on an implementation plan) as well as the ability to lead and drive the T&C process using a pragmatic business focused approach with a strong focus on managing risk
