JOB PURPOSE
To take responsibility for the day to day supervision of the Casework team, under the leadership of the Casework Team Manager/ Senior People Business Partner Lead ensuring that the high standards of the service are maintained.
To implement and evaluate strategies related to the provision of case work support and provide highly specialist advice to all colleagues across the Trust, specifically the Care Group leaders on the management of employee relations cases and ensuring adherence to local policies and employment legislation.
To assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of local employee relations policies, and to support the delivery of a programme of training to ensure the Trusts leaders are confident and capable of managing employment relations cases.
Responsible for providing a range of management information in relation to Casework team activities, including number and type of ongoing cases, and resolution timeframes.


MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Casework Team Manager in developing and leading the Trust’s approach to employee relations cases and HR casework management.
Assist the Casework Team Manager and Case Management Team to support managers in the effective implementation of the full range of the Trust’s HR policies up to and including appeals and employment tribunals.
Support to the Casework Team Manager with complex and sensitive casework, identifying key issues and risks from the information provided.
Undertake education and development responsibilities including the support of the delivery of management development courses and general induction.
