Senior International HR Consultant (External)

Cheltenham (2-3 days per week in the Cheltenham office / 2-3 days per week at home)
Salary to £60K + car / allowance and benefits

Henlee Resourcing is working in partnership with a start-up Division of an International Business Consultancy with an office based in Cheltenham, to recruit a talented externally focused Senior International HR Consultant on a permanent basis. Although the office is based in Cheltenham the expectation once you are up and running is working 2 days per week from Cheltenham and the other days from home. The Business is also open to potential part-time.

Reporting to the Head of HR Advisory, you will be delivering International HR advice, guidance and solutions (Employment Law, Immigration and HR best practice) to a Client Portfolio mainly based in the US and UK with their operations in Europe, US and APAC regions.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Ensuring HR Client Services are provided within agreed terms and to internal processes.
  • Manage the provision of day-to-day timely and accurate advice to Clients and internal departments on HR and Employment Law issues.
  • Manage own portfolio of Clients, delivering timely advice and services as agreed with the Client.
  • Ensure appropriate advice and assistance is sought by relevant Affiliates in receiving countries and that those services are managed to maximum effect.
  • Manage the knowledge database and library of references.
  • Review the circumstances of each Client to identify potential business development opportunities for other services offered by the business.
  • Ensure the work for each Client is progressed as agreed and that problems / issues are highlighted as early as possible in the process and managed to a positive outcome.
  • Work with the Head of HR Advisory to develop services and processes such that the business provides the most competitive and cost-effective product. Manage ad-hoc projects to this end.
  • Keep abreast of developments in International Employment Law and HR Best Practices that will impact the Client base.

We are looking for you to ideally possess 5+ years experience of providing Client Advisory / External Consultancy Services in and / or with an international consulting operation. You will be familiar with start-up situations across an international spectrum, advising Clients on International Employment Law and HR related issues. You will be used to working in a fair and consistent manner showing respect, confidence and accepting accountability combined with excellent communication skills (a foreign language a plus but not essential) and be able to think strategically and commercially, understanding the larger business picture yet are prepared to be hands on.
