Global Payroll Manager £75k to £85k + Benefits - London, City

A leading Financial Services firm who are based in the heart of the City seek an experienced Global Payroll Manaoger to head and lead their current payroll team.

This position is responsible for the timely and accurate output of multi-country payroll in accordance with established guidelines, standards and timelines. This position acts as a subject matter expert in partnership with the third party payroll provider. Responsible for monitoring SLAs and approving payroll in a timely manner by reviewing gross to net calculations, variance reports and banking wires. Ensures all audit and SOX controls are met, and collaborates with the third party payroll provider as required to drive results. Identifies, evaluates, and implements payroll process improvement opportunities.

Duties and accountabilities

Manages both the UK payroll Specialist and Benefit admin Specialist. Has overall responsibility for UK and International payroll sign off

Reviews and approves pay period results according to the established deadlines, responsible for ensuring the timely submission of payroll inputs to the third party payroll provider . Provides subject matter expert support where needed.

Maintains a partnership with the payroll vendor providing oversight, monitoring, and approvals of all payroll related processes and compliance.

Continuously drives for process improvement and leads future optimisations of the payroll area

Reviews and responds to regulatory agency enquiries and takes necessary steps to ensure the payroll vendor fulfills requirements for the company's payroll processes and procedures to be in compliance with all applicable regulations.

Stays abreast of regulation changes in the HR areas to ensure accuracy and service to customers. Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations regarding payroll and benefits.

Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures for continual improvements in efficiencies of the department.

Serves as an escalation point of contact (tier2) for HR service delivery.

Oversight of Benefits/Total Rewards administration including the annual open enrolment process, pension submissions and escalation point of benefit related queries

Handles complex absence cases and liaises with the relevant medical providers and insurers

Partnership or participation in global or international projects as required

Escalation point of any finance related queries connected to GL or post payroll reports

Ensure accuracy of board papers and related data

Responsible for the monthly and annual P35, P60,s , P11d returns and their accuracy

Responsible for the accuracy of the international payroll year end returns

Escalation point for any benefit admin queries if they cannot be dealt with by Benefit Specialist

Review and sign off the monthly pensions submissions to the relevant providers
