A world leading media company are currently looking for a Microsoft Azure specialist to help them deliver an implementation and then support them with the live product.
The Role:
The development team is providing a toolset for data acquisition, cleansing, storage, visualisation and analysis by leveraging the Microsoft Azure platform. This is a fast-paced and dynamic environment where the needs will be changing on a frequent basis. The ideal candidate will have a flexible mindset and experience working within a global business.
This role will be to be the lead for advising on and configuring the Azure platform within the team. The role will report to the Head of Data, and support Data Scientists, and People Analysts to find and deploy the optimum solutions to meet their needs using Microsoft Azure. The role will also liaise with corporate IT security teams to ensure the security and integrity of company data is protected.
About you:
- Able to present and communicate technology to a wide variety of stakeholders
- Adaptable to change, versatile and pragmatic
- Comfortable talking to business users and can translate business needs into solutions
- Uses initiative and owns end-to-end solution design
- Brings ideas to the table, is inquisitive and excited by new technology
- Proactively communicates and shares understanding and experience within a team
- Used to working in a flexible, independent manner on a mixture of small unstructured and large structured items
- 3+ Years' experience in Azure infrastructure deployment and configuration
- Deep knowledge of Azure connectivity and security implementation including serverless computing
- Can advise on most appropriate Azure solutions for business problems and application development
- Experience selecting and implementing different Azure storage/database solutions
- Experience in Data management, monitoring and design using Azure
Desirable:
- Experience in Tableau
- Automation of infrastructure and application deployment
- Backup and Disaster Recovery
- Ability to analyse resource utilization and consumption
- Azure design and configuration experience
