Trust Accountant

Ashley Kate UK are working with a long standing Education client who are seeking an experienced Trust Accountant who has good knowledge and a proven background in working with public sector, but moreover in the Educational and Charity sectors, to join them and manage the team of 7 Finance Professionals.

This is a Permanent Full Time role, based in Tamworth.

Working across the West Midland region, our client is growing and currently employs over 1400 people.

You will be;

·An experienced and robust Accountant with experience in public sector in a similar environment
·Demonstrate a good understanding of public sector or charity reporting
·Willing to learn and to champion the organisations focuses within the Finance team
·Strong management skills and the ability to motivate others
·Able to ensure compliance
·A clear communicator, professional and confidential.
·CCAB qualified or similar
·Eager to deliver on the Trusts values

You will be responsible for accounting for the Trusts accounting for Financial Resources including designing and implementing control procedures, managing banking investments and ensuring the monthly payroll is paid and accounted. Completion of financial returns and support the Executive Director in the preparation of annual audited accounts for their turnover of £40m.

You will also be responsible for investing the Trusts surplus finds in accordance with the investment policy.
