My client a high-profile national charity creating the development and treatment of life changing illness is looking to recruit a Talent and Leadership Development Manager to join their Talent team.

As Talent & Development Manager you will Lead the talent and leadership development team to ensure the organisation can identify, nurture and develop the highest levels of potential within its people. Within this role you will oversee the development and delivery of early career talent pipeline, including Graduates, Interns and Apprentices, two high-profile leadership transition programmes, Aspire and the Accelerated Development Programme, and bespoke leadership development at senior levels. This role sits on the leadership team and you will be responsible for owning and iterating the charities approach to identifying the potential of their people and support the HR Business Partners to deliver great talent at all levels within the organisation.

Working with the Head of Talent Acquisition you will work on the development of the Talent strategy and deliver this across the organisation. This role will be key to delivering increased retention, promotions and identify the top talent within the organisation. In addition, you will have a strong focus on leading the activity within the early career talent programmes alongside all leadership development. You will partner closely with the HR and Talent teams to ensure that high quality talent and high potentials identifications, development and ensure this reflects leading edge practise. As part of this role you will also support the Head of Talent Acquisition and Heads of HR to source appropriate coaching and mentoring whilst offering some light touch coaching to Heads, Directors and those on leadership transition and early career programmes to support their career and personal development goals.

To be successful in this role you will have have a background in occupational psychology and excellent experience at a similar level within Talent Management, Learning and Development and Succession planning tools including line management experience and the 9 box grid. You will have the ability to build and develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will have worked on projects with clear deadlines and the ability to confidently shape ideas and concepts into meaningful outcomes. Ideally you will have coaching experience although this does not need to be to exec level and hold a degree or equivalent HR qualification. It would be desirable to have experience working with graduate programmes and apprenticeships.
