Job Details

Experienced HR Manager required to join our multisite client working from their head office in Yeovil.

Introduction/Job Overview:

Our client has offices throughout Somerset and is seeking a HR Manager to provide professional support and expert advice to management and staff across all sites. Reporting to the Head of HR, this is a varied transactional HR position which will manage key HR functions including recruitment, salary bench marking, payroll, grievances and performance reviews.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional support and expert advice to management and staff on HR policies and procedures, performance management, and employee relations
  • Influence management around the people agenda to maximise performance
  • Identify HR priorities from Firm, departmental and team plans translating into effective HR practices to deliver people solutions aligned to the Firm’s business objectives
  • Provide support with all salary benchmarking activity, pay reviews and bonus payments
  • Deal with all benefits-related queries promptly and efficiently; assisting with the administration of auto-enrolment etc.,
  • Take ownership of and provide support on complex HR projects
  • Provide administrative support to the Head of HR e.g. provide note-taking at disciplinary or grievance meetings, ensure CRB disclosures are processed correctly, oversee and take responsibility for completion of CQS paperwork, calculate part-time holiday entitlement

Requirements:

  • Graduate level and ideally qualified to CIPD Level 7
  • A proven background working in a similar HR Adviser position, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Natural ability to inspire confidence in others when deal with complex and sensitive HR issues.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment law and current legislation.

If you are confident at liaising with people on day to day HR issues, as we as supporting a Head of HR on strategic projects, then this is the role for you. You will be required to travel to other offices across Somerset on occasions.
