An Interim HR Manager job in Guildford for 6 months, paying c£45K with a focus on industrial relations.

Your new company
A local education organisation close to Guildford town centre. Due to projects, an Interim HR Manager is required for 6 months.

Your new role
Reporting to the HR Director, this role will provide professional advice and guidance on the people aspects of change and associated HR activities. This role will support the delivery programmes by supporting and coaching line managers in all people matters to ensure successful implementation of transformation programmes.
The HR Manager will support the implementation of change transformations and provide support to all HR activities within the designated areas.
You will work in collaboration with senior managers to shape, guide and support the planning and delivery of effective people practices and structures. Working largely autonomously, the post holder will be experienced in providing strategic and operational HR advice / guidance and be comfortable in exercising a high degree of initiative, self-motivation and professional judgement. Experience and an ability to forge strong relationships is key.

Key duties include;
1. Ensure the people change aspects of the change programmes are properly planned and executed in a timely manner
2. Manage the communication of key messages. Provide accurate guidance to staff and managers on a range of HR policies and procedures and regularly communicate updates and news to all staff in relation to the programme implementation. Liaison with Trade Unions, where appropriate.
3. Support the respective Director/Head of Department in generating the "people" elements of the business case and manage information created and received in compliance with policies and legislation.
4. Work with the HR teams to ensure the HR systems are updated to reflect the changes.
5. Advice and input on performance management, recruitment, appeals, grievances in agreed Departments undergoing change management support.


What you'll need to succeed

You will have demonstrable skills working in projects, in particular experience of delivering large scale change programmes involving significant culture change. Experience of working extensively in an environment which recognises trade unions and having a record of bringing change in such an environment is essential.


What you'll get in return
C£45,000 pa plus benefits.
