Purpose of the role: Responsibility for the end-to-end recruitment journey for all employees including executive and non-executive directors. Also responsible for the full attraction approach including EVP execution and implementation of the workforce plan.  

Role Specific Accountabilities  

  • Deliver a complete end to end attraction and resourcing strategy, including implementing the direct sourcing approach to resourcing and managing the attraction and recruitment of OpCo, ExCo and NED’s ensuring all governance implications are considered.
  • Define and deliver the overall Resourcing approach for the group to ensure the business is adequately and effectively resourced to deliver long term strategic plans.
  • Introduce new and best practice emerging resourcing ideas into the Group through external scanning of other organisations locally and globally, including use of technology to source and attract potential talent.
  • Deploy the Group Employer Branding through our EVP and ensuring they are an employer of choice for internal and external talent. Working closely with the D&I Specialist and OE team.
  • Define the long term view of resource requirements and key skills to deliver the business strategy.
  • Work alongside the People Division to develop internal resourcing and retention plans to ensure clear opportunities for internal candidates to progress their careers with the group, ensuring hiring ratios favour internal talent.
  • Effectively manage and monitor key metrics relating to all aspects of recruitment and resourcing, including quality of hires, retention, external market scanning, supply risk forecasting and talent mapping.
  • Proactively manage the employer brand and on-line presence and ensure a clear social media approach.
  • Working closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager to support operational recruitment ensuring alignment of resourcing requirements and recruitment processes ensuring we deliver a remarkable candidate experience. 
  • Manage, maintain and evolve the company approach to attracting emerging talent, including liaising with HRBPs, recruiting line managers and the SM OD Solutions regarding identifying recruitment criteria and development pathways.
  • Build effective partnerships with all relevant third party suppliers ensuring Group standards are maintained.

Skills, Level and Experience  

Functional/Technical (Role Specific)  

  • Degree level education
  • Extensive working knowledge and track record of implementing resourcing approaches and initiatives within complex customer-focused organisations, from volume hiring to executive, NED and specialist roles.
  • Experience of managing and implementing employer branding, EVP and social media presence.
  • Proven track record of in-house resourcing, candidate attraction and assessment methodologies, including direct resourcing and via social media.
  • Accredited in using psychometrics in the design, development and use of selection tools and assessment centres.
