HR Manager

My client, a leading global law firm based in the City is looking for a HR Manager to join a leading practice group. Forming part of a large HR function this role is a generalist position with a balance of both strategy and HR operations. Reporting into the Head of HR your role will be to support with the full employee life cycle within this population providing a seamless and commercial HR service. Working across the firm, this is a highly visible role which will see you working closely with Partners and indeed Heads of Department to ensure the people agenda is being reflected in business decisions.

This role will see you working across the whole employee life cycle, supporting Managers and Stakeholders with key decisions that affect their teams. You will be involved in London-wide projects and initiatives along with working closely with your international counterparts ensuring the people agenda is driven through the group effectively.

In collaboration with the senior leadership team you will understand the key business objectives in order to define, create and deliver HR solutions. Develop and sustain strong business relationships by giving professional HR advice and becoming a trusted advisor.

Along side these you will also be involved in Talent and Performance management activities ensuring the development of employees along side business objectives. You will also actively take the lead with all ER matters ensuring seamless and commercial advice is given and acting as a coach to Managers and leaders within in teams.

The business is looking to meet candidates who are educated to degree level with a minimum of 5 year's experience in a generalist HR role. You will have a good understanding of the wider HR teams and function with experience of working in change intensive environments. You will hold a CIPD qualification or equivalent with excellent knowledge of employment legislation and best practice. Relevant experience in a legal or professional services environment is preferred.
