Portfolio HR are currently working with a leading professional services organisation in Manchester City Centre who are looking for an experienced Recruitment Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The Recruitment Advisor will be responsible for delivering an exceptional candidate experience as well as the planning, coordination and delivery of recruitment for specific business areas. As Recruitment Advisor you will also:

  • Work closely with Partners, Directors and Management to deliver on all required recruitment activity
  • Deliver appropriate recruitment plans based on a understanding of recruitment methods and concepts
  • Add value by demonstrating a thorough understanding of the market, sector knowledge and trends. Then using this knowledge to inform actions and sourcing plans
  • Use a variety of assessment methods such as competency based interviewing, psychometric testing, technical testing and assessment centres
  • Develop a strong understanding of the business, the external market and trends and ensures that this knowledge is shared with the business and RBP/ team as appropriate
  • Respond to changing business needs, demonstrating speed of response through own actions and proactively proposing ideas and solutions
  • Show in depth knowledge of the recruitment market - understanding the key players, mapping of relevant markets and actively tracking careers of the people we want to hire
  • Keep abreast of market intelligence and, in particular, of key events which might indicate a good source of resource

In order to be considered for this role it is essential that you have come from a recruitment background (whether agency or internal), you have a proven track record of executing volume recruitment while managing more niche/specialist roles, as well as the following:

  • Solid experience of recruiting direct candidates from a variety of sources - headhunting candidates directly for vacancies, resourcing candidates from job boards, recruitment portals etc.
  • Ability to quickly pick up full account management of key recruitment areas
  • Ability to adhere to certain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Solid experience of direct sourcing methods
  • Knowledge of core assessment and selection tools
  • Able to implement recruitment strategy once it is operationalised; able to identify the recruitment implications of certain elements of the strategy
  • The ability to plan and manage time effectively, working on a number of key priorities and giving precedence to tasks as required
  • Strong rapport building skills with the ability to challenge senior management where necessary, always acting with integrity and enthusiasm
  • Ability to maintain a calm, cool manner and work impartiality when under pressure
