Head of HR- Distribution and Finance- Oxfordshire
I am working in partnership with one of the UKs leading publishing groups to recruit for a Head of HR for their new state of the art distribution centre in Didcot.
It is the leading book distribution company in the UK, providing comprehensive distribution services, and exceptional customer service, to their client publishers and their customers. The distribution centre is one of the most advanced distribution centres in Europe, with leading-edge automation and modern systems which will ensure world-class service to customers and publisher clients. This is an incredibly exciting role, allowing an experienced Head of HR to go on a journey of growth with the business.
The head of HR will be defining the people strategy and leading the HR function through the journey from early start up to full consolidation of the existing teams into the new distribution business. The role will lead and implement organisational design, culture, talent management, pay structure, and training with the ambition to be employer of choice in a highly competitive market place.
The successful candidate will be a strong leader with proven track record of leading people and teams through change, demonstrating that they can implement a vision with structure and empathy. They will need to be highly visible in the business, with the ability to run organisational design projects and think strategically. First-class communication skills are essential, as is the character to inspire and put in place programmes which help people achieve their full potential. This role will be an integral part of the senior management team.
This role is also responsible for providing HR support to the Group Finance function which is co-located with Distribution.
