We are actively recruiting for an interim HR Generalist to join our client for initially 6 months. Reporting to the Head of HR you will be focused on identifying and implementing people focused initiatives that add value to the business and ensures delivery of an efficient and effective HR function that partners with and supports business success.

The role

  • Actively partnering with key managers and leaders, utilising people data and HR knowledge to take a proactive approach in advising on all aspects of Human Resources, including performance, attendance and change management. Able to offer up to date advice on employment law and employee relations matters, whilst maintaining a pragmatic and commercially balanced approach.
  • Advising managers and leaders on learning and development, organisational development and succession planning, recruitment process and procedure, reward and recognition.
  • Taking a hands-on role in dealing with and understanding employee relations case work, ensuring consistency in advice given by the HR team and its application across the business.
  • In addition to the above, the job holder will be work closely with the HR team and across the business on the successful implementation of integration priorities and HR initiatives
  • Responsible for the management of the HR team (3).


Experience Required

  • Proven ability at HR Manager level
  • Advising, challenging and influencing senior managers/managers whilst maintaining positive business relationships
  • Previous experience of working successfully in a fast paced commercial environment
  • Strong foundation and up to date knowledge of employment law and its application
  • Good understanding of HRIS system usage
  • Use of people data to influence and improve the business
  • Successfully delivered change within and organisation
  • Successful management and development of an HR team
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and credibility at all levels of a business
  • Comfortable working with, advising and influencing senior managers
  • Focused on providing solutions to business and people challenges
  • Strong prioritisation and organisation skills
  • Able to motivate and lead a team
  • Commercial awareness and able to see the wider impact of decisions being made
  • Able to talk confidently in front of a group and deliver a group training session
